ALPINE AERO SQUADRON JANUARY 2005 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the January 13, 2005 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the December meeting as read at the January meeting. Eleven club members were present at the January meeting. The club now has 101 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $4044.32 in the bank as January 13, 2005. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business:
Field will be closed on weekdays till March 2005.

New Business:
None

Note:
Regan Schutte brought in 3 Glow Plug Engines, all with rear exhaust; a .61Russian Engine, .81 Rossi Fan Engine & a 120 Bar Stock Engine.

Note:
Joe Macias brought in 4 collectable ignition Engines, three 2 cycle Engines & one 4 cycle Engine.

Note:
When two people are using the same channel, the one that is flying should make sure the Clothes Pin is on his or her Transmitter & should make sure the other person’s Transmitter is turned to the off position.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Mark Swanstrom - Lead Weights 6 oz.

Mark Miller - Sullivan Threaded Rods.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. February 10, 2005, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 p.m. Check your controls prior to your first flight of the day.
