ALPINE AERO SQUADRON JANUARY 2007 NEWSLETTER These are the minutes for the January 9, 2007 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the December meeting as read at the January meeting. Eleven Club members were present at the January meeting. The Club now has 58 members.
Mark Miller reported that we have $1883.14 in the bank as January 9, 2007. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurers report as presented. Rental fee for the room at the Kennedy Recreation Center is $192.00 a year.

Corrections Made From Last Month Newsletter: Ray Fulks from the Chula Vista Club as well as, the Silent Electric Flyers doesnt want the Float Fly at Otay Lake to die out. We may be able to get help from some of the Clubs in the area with Registration fee. The registration fee for someone with a San Diego address would be $350.00 and for someone out of the County it would be $750.00 to rent the picnic area and the lakefront. The Club will have someone investigate this matter concerning the Float Fly at Otay Lake for the year 2007. We may also be able to pick the Month for the Float Fly.
Note: Wayne Bolin brought in two # 8 O.S. Glow Plugs for the Raffle. Tom Clark brought in a Video about the new DX7 Spektrum Transmitter Radio, which is in the January 2007 issue of the Model Aviation Magazine on pages 105, 106 & 107. Regan Schutte brought in a 0.61 master Engine with a Tune Pipe (Made in Russia).
Note:
A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00.
The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. February 8, 2007, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the 7:52 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to your first flight of the day. |
