ALPINE AERO SQUADRON FEBRUARY 2003 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for February 13, 2003 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the January meeting as read at the February meeting. Eleven club members were present at the December meeting. The club now has 84 members.

Bob Middleton reported that we have $1,381.81 in the bank as of February 13, 2003. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the treasurer s report as presented.

Old Business:
The awnings are completed with new lightweight galvanized steel that will provide shade in the hot summer months. The new awnings should provide the needed protection to stop any airplane from penetrating the awnings and injuring someone.

New Business:
The club has approved a $50.00 gift certificate to Russ Seevers for the use of his trailer & the free pipe he donated to the Alpine Aero Squadron. When all the work is done at the field, a Fun Fly will be held. A motion was made from the floor to put a cap on the number of members the club may carry on their rooster: no action taken.

Bob Middleton - Precision Hinge Marking Tool, two packages of Silicone Fuel Lines, one Red & one Blue.
Joe Macias - Engine Mount Hole Locator.
Tom Clark - Pocket Knife with Clip.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m March 13, 2003, (Second Thursday) at the Kennedy Center Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:11 pm. Check your controls prior to your first flight of the day.

Tom Clark & Bob Middleton brought a couple of Airplanes to the meeting to show & demonstrate to the Boy Scouts what the main theme of the Alpine Aero Squadron Club is.
