ALPINE AERO SQUADRON MARCH 2002 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for March 14, 2002 meeting.

Our President Dorman Baker brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the February meeting as read at the March meeting. Six club members were present at the March meeting.

Bob Middleton reported that we have $3,751.56 in the bank as of March 14, 2002. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the treasurer's report as presented.

Old Business:

The newsletter will be sent to all club members who don't have an e-mail address. Those with an e-mail address may check the newsletter on the Website and the address is http://www.alpineaerosquadron.com.

To contact Ignacio Barragan about the new Website on the Internet, or if you have any information you would like to be put on our Website, sent the information to the following e-mail address Wepmaster@alpineaerosquardron.com This is the second official newsletter that will be assigned to the Alpine Aero Squadron's Website. Everyone will be able to access our Website if they have a computer, but a special password will be needed to look at the club's roster.

Lock both gates when you are the last one to leave the field. When any one is flying at the field the new gate will always be closed and the old gate can be left open. When you are the last one to leave, make sure the lock is locked so if any one lock is open the gate can be opened

New Business:

Fun Fly will be discussed at the April meeting.

If you have a loose plug on any part of your wiring harness, replace as it could come loose in flight or on take off and cause your Model Aircraft to crash. Thomas Seevers lost control of his aircraft due to the battery plug that slip out of the wiring harness on take off.

Hobby People now has a Website and the Hobby Shop can be found at http://www.hobbypeople.net.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. No raffle was held at the March meeting due to the small number of people that attended the meeting.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 PM on April 11, 2002 (Thursday) at the Kennedy Center Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, Ca.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:52 PM.
