ALPINE AERO SQUADRON MARCH 2003 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for March 13, 2003 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the February meeting as read at the March meeting. Nine club members were present at the March meeting. The club now has 72 members.

Bob Middleton reported that we have $1385.39 in the bank as of March 13, 2003. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the treasurers report as presented.

Old Business:
The club as a whole would like to thank all the weekday & the weekend club members in giving up there spare time to repair all the damages that was done at the field by the high winds in December of 2002. The work is all most completed except for the carpets, a couple of awnings on the end & painting all the cement stanchions. Some of the cement stanchions need to be patch with mortar before painting. Reminder, please close the first gate behind you whenever you are entering or leaving the field. The last person to leave the field will close and lock both gates.

New Business:
The Weedwacker club at Lakeside has some tables that they are giving away for free & Tom Clark will probably will pick up these tables and bring them to our field.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Dorman Baker - 4 Stroke Glow Plugs (2).
Joe Macias - CA Glue (2) Thin & Thick also 100 Blades #11.
Bob Middleton - 6Long Needle Nose Pliers.
Greg Gavin - Razor Plane.
Thomas Beecroft - Balsa Striper.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m April 10, 2003, (Second Thursday) at the Kennedy Center Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:53 pm. Check your controls prior to your first flight of the day. All the people that have access to the Web and dont receive a flier from Hobby People in the mail can view all the sales Hobby People have at www.hobbypeople.net.
