ALPINE AERO SQUADRON MARCH 2005 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the March 10, 2005 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the February meeting as read at the March meeting. Eleven club members were present at the March meeting. The Club now has 89 members. 15 members have not pay their dues for the year 2005, and as of March 10, 2005 those members have been dropped from the Clubs Roster.

Mark Miller reported that we have $4193.93 in the bank as March 10, 2005. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented. The Club’s Editor made a typing error on the February’s treasurer’s report on how much money the Club had in the bank.

Old Business:
Field will be closed on weekdays till March 31, 2005.

New Business:
The AMA has decided that all clubs must have 6 board Members. The new board Member will be a Safety Coordinator, Wayne Bolin has accepted this new position, & will be voted on at the April meeting.

(Baker’s Dozen) Ball .60 1948, Hassan custom .60 1941, Hassan Shock .60 1939, Mc Coy MCCR .60 1945, Mc Coy .60 series 60. Hornet Bulge By Pass .60 1950, Hornet .60 1945, Orr Tornado .65 1948, Dooling .60 1948, Ken .60 1945, Bungay .60 1948, Batz Loff .60 1941 & a Cave Cobra .60 1948.

Information:
The site where the Club holds its annual Float Fly at Otay Lake is now 99.9% capacity & the water level is five feet from the concrete parking lot. I would estimate that the water lever has risen at least 20 feet since November 2004.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Greg Cullimore - Weights Stick On.
Regan Schutte - Fuel Line Clips & a Fuel Cap Fitting for a Gas Can.

Ainza Manuel - Mandrel Arbor with Fiber Disks.
Mark Miller - Ultra Plug.
Wayne Bolin - 2 Ultra Plugs.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. April 14, 2005, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m.
