ALPINE AERO SQUADRON APRIL 2005 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the April 14, 2005 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the March meeting as read at the April meeting. Twelve club members were present at the April meeting. The Club now has 89 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $4419.07 in the bank as April 14, 2005. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business:
Field is now open on weekdays. Wayne Bolin is the new Safety Coordinator for the Alpine Aero Squadron club.

New Business:
The club has been authorized to purchase a new Weed Wacker in the amount of $250.00.

Joe Macias brought in 4 collectable 2-cycle gasoline ignitions Engines for Airplanes, Hayward Connelly .60 1948 dual Spark Plugs, Ohlsson Gold Seal Taper Fin .56 1938, Ohlsson Cold Seal Step Fin .56 1938 & a Ken .60 1945. One Glow 2-cycle Engine for Airplanes, a Trident .65 1948 with 2 exhaust Ports.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.
Bob Davis - One Gallon of 15% Fuel.
Mark Swanstrom - K & S 100 Watt Soldering Gun & Body Scissors with a Reamer for making holes.
Tom Seevers - 5 Minute Epoxy.
Regan Schutte - Two small Tubes of Ca Glue.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. May 12, 2005, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 p.m. Check your controls prior to your first flight of the day.
