ALPINE AERO SQUADRON MAY 2006 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the May 11, 2006 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the April meeting as read at the May meeting. Six club members were present at the May meeting. The Club now has 71 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $4290.41 in the bank as May 11, 2006. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

OLD BUSINESS:
The old Locks have been removed from the two Gates.

New Business:
None

Note: Joe Macias brought in 6 collectable Ignition Engines. One .60 American made Engine. One .60 Bus 10cc Proto type made in 1936, late fuel tank installed, made in Czech by Gustavbusek. One .60 unknown English. One .60 unknown English. One 120 made by Robert Strange in 1927 twin 4 stroke engine, both Spark Plugs were made by hand & the Valve Lifters have to be oiled before each flight. One Octura Engine 1210cc made by precision service company in 1983.

Note: A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. June 8, 2006, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:06 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to your first flight of the day.
