ALPINE AERO SQUADRON MAY 2007 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the May 10, 2007 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the April meeting as read at the May meeting. Eleven Club members were present at the May meeting. The Club now has 75 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $2554.05 in the bank as May 10, 2007. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business:
The Club may re-oil the field this summer.

New Business:
When there is low activity at the Field, it would be advisable to lock the Gate during the week. This would also applied on weekends if there are only one or two people flying their Model Airplanes.

Note:
A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. Winners are Regan Schutte=One Flatana Electric Model. Howard Valentine=One Gallon of Helicopter Fuel 30%. Tom Porter=One Gallon of 10% fuel with 18% Synthetic/Castor Oil. Mark Miller donated the one Gallon of 10% Fuel.

Note:
Regan Schutte brought in a Weber Bully Pr 150; it has two glow plugs in the head & has a very large Exhaust Pipe. Made in Austria. One very nice looking Rossi .91 Engine with no Exhaust Pipe. One Anderson-Aurand Glow Plug Driver, it plugs into receiver & when the Throttle is retarded to idle it turns the Glow Plug on,

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. June 14, 2007, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to each flight.
