ALPINE AERO SQUADRON MAY 2008 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the May 8, 2008 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the April meeting as read at the May meeting. Seven Club members were present at the May meeting. The Club now has 57 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $2763.32 in the bank as May 8, 2008. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business:
As the funds become available we will re-oil the Field this summer. We have to remove all the Clay Sediments & replace them with Cold Patch. We may try buying some five gallons of oil & see how that works.

New Business:
None

When anyone is flying at the Field, the inner Gate will be closed. The outer Gate will also be closed. The last person leaving the Field will lock both Gates. The speed limit going to & from the Field is 15-Miles Per Hour. No more Welding permitted at the Field. The Country has informed the Club that when it rains the Field will be closed for five days after the rain stops.

Discount Hobby also has their “Fathers Day Swapmeet” on Sunday June 15.
