| ALPINE AERO SQUADRON JUNE 2003 NEWSLETTER
These are the minutes for June 12, 2003 meeting.
Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. A motion
was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the May meeting
as read at the June meeting. Fifteen club members were present at the
June meeting. The club now has 76 members.
Bob Middleton reported that we have $1393.01
in the bank as of June 10, 2003. A motion was made, seconded, and approved
to accept the treasurers report as presented.

New Business:
The Swap Meet will be held at Balboa Park on Saturday July 19, 2003 from
7:00 am. to 11:00 am. If any one would like to donate something to the
club, please bring your items to the next meeting or to the field and
the Club will auction off the donated items.
Ignacio Barragan would like to apologize to everyone for missing the last
meeting. His son got quite ill that same night and he had to take him
to the hospital; his son is doing O.K. now. On the next meeting, Ignacio
Barragan will bring a large Ducted Fan Model Airplane with a Rossi .81
and he will give a short lecture concerning the model.
The bylaws say that Clothes Pins should be installed on the Frequency
Board Pegs with the number corresponding to the number on the Frequency
Board Peg. Before turning your Radio on, please place your AMA card on
the correct Frequency Peg and the Clothes Pin on your Radio. Radios will
not be turned on until the correct Frequency Clothes Pin is on your Transmitter.
Fun Fly is tentatively schedule for July 26, 2003. Hours are from 8:00
am to 11:00 am. Hot Dogs and Sodas will be available at the field for
everyone free of charge.
A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle
tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron
will be at 7:30 p.m July 10, 2003, (Second Thursday) at the Kennedy Center
Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.
A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:03
pm.
