ALPINE AERO SQUADRON JUNE 2005 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the June 9, 2005 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the May meeting as read at the June meeting. Nine club members were present at June meeting. The Club now has 93 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $3894.92 in the bank as June 9, 2005. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Should the Club oil the Field this year?

Note: Hobby People is selling Fuel @ cost for the mouth of June.

Note: The Annual Association Swap Meet will be held on Saturday July 9, 2005 at Balboa Park Inspiration Point Parking lot. The hours are from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. The club will have a table set up at the Park & if anyone has anything they would like to donate, the club would be glad to auction off the items at the park. Bring your items to the meeting or to the flying Field. Mark Miller will store the items until the Swap Meet.

Note: Joe Macias brought in 6 Airplane ignition Engines, Proto Hornet .60 with two Spark Plugs (one of a kind) by Frank Snow. Pegasus .40 1937 by Jack or Frank Roll of San Francisco. Silver Dollar .29 1949 Piston Valve by Master Gunsmith Dan Dwyer, born 1907 died 1996, from Las Vegas. Brat .14 1937 Hex Head by Jack Keener. Lykens Brown .12 1937 by Bill Brown, not Junior Motors.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Regan Schuttle - HS-55 Feather Weight Servo.
Bob Davis - HS-55 Feather Weight Servo.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. July 14, 2005, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
