ALPINE AERO SQUADRON JULY 2006 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the July 13, 2006 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the June meeting as read at the July meeting. Ten Club members were present at the July meeting. The Club now has 73 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $3964.03 in the bank as July 13, 2006. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business:
Tom Clark will have a meeting with the County to find out what the Club can do to make the runway level. The club made $344.00 from the sale of donated items sold at the Swap Meet.

New Business:
Tom Seevers will be checking with Otay’s lake Official about having a Float Fly this coming November. Bob Davis has been elected to organize a Fun Fly for September 16, 2006. (Saturday)

Note: Joe Macias brought in three collectible 5 Cylinders 4 cycle Radial Engines. Morton M-5 0.922 Cubic Inch Displacement with ignition. One Glow 0.950 Cubic Inch Displacement. Roger Paul Bar Stock made in 1967 with ignition, 0.950 Cubic Inch Displacement.

Note: Greg Gavin brought in a Tartan 2 Cylinder oppose Engine with Glow 5.6 HP .50cc or 3.05 Cubic Inch Displacement, weight 4.14lbs.

Note: A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Dorman Baker - HS-56 Feather Weight Servo.
Mark Miller - HS-56 Feather Weight Servo.
Greg Gavin - One Tube of Z-42 Thread Locker.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. August 10, 2006, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to your first flight of the day.
