ALPINE AERO SQUADRON JULY 2007 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the July 12, 2007 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the June meeting as read at the July meeting. Six Club members were present at the June meeting. The Club now has 79 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $2841.12 in the bank as July 12, 2007. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business: The Club will re-oil the Field this summer. We have to remove all the Clay Sediments, replace them with Cold Patch & It will cost the Club around $2050.00 to re-oil the field.

New Business:
The Chula Vista Club will host The Float Fly at Otay Lake this Year. Everyone is welcome to come to the Float Fly when we find what date it will be held. When everyone has finished flying on Saturday or Sunday please stay around and help remove the Clay Sediments & replace the holes will a cold patch.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. Winners are

Mark Miller - Universal Razor Saw & A 7 Piece Ball Driver Allen Wrenches.
Tom Beecroft - 6” Long Needle Nose Pliers

Note:
Tom Beecroft brought in a small electric Helicopter that was purchase from the Fair. The Helicopter goes up and down & right or left: no forward or backwards.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. August 9, 2007, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to each flight.
