ALPINE AERO SQUADRON AUGUST 2004 NEWSLETTER
These are the minutes for August 12, 2004 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the July meeting as read at the August meeting. Seventeen club members were present at the August meeting. The club now has 94 members.
Bob Middleton reported that we have $2947.07 in the bank as August 12, 2004. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurers report as presented. Old Business: New Business:
Joe Macias brought in 3 collectable ignition Engines for Airplanes. Tom Clark brought in his portable DVD Player to show everyone a lot of Jet Model Airplanes crashing with Turbine Engines. Some of the Airplanes caught fire when they crash into the ground. Some propeller Airplanes also were shown crashing. Many of the crashes look like the Pilot was not qualified to fly these Airplanes. A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle
tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.
The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m September 9, 2004, (second Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 pm. Check your controls prior to your first flight of the day. |
