These are the minutes for September 12, 2002 meeting. Our President Dorman Baker brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the August meeting as read at the September meeting. Eleven club members were present at the September meeting. The club now has 76 members in the Alpine Aero Squadron Club.

Bob Middleton reported that we have $2782.34 in the bank as of September 12, 2002. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business:
Fun Fly will be postponed till a later date.

The field has been oiled at a cost of $1,210.00.

Float fly will be November 24, 2002 at Otay lakes. Flying will start at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. The Alpine Aero Squadron will give $300.00 in gift certificates at the Float Fly. There will be other prizes at Float Fly given by some Hobby Shops.

New Business:
The Bylaws have been changed to waive the dues for the position of the Treasurer. Dues are $40.00 a year and the last day to pay without a penalty is December 31, 2002.

There is a new toilet on the field and it will cost the club $44.88 a month.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Bob Middleton - X-Acto Blades and Foam Rubber.

Thomas Beecroft - Tubing Cutter and X-Acto Saw Blades.
Thomas Seevers - Large Engine Mounts.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. October 10, 2002 (Second Thursday) at the Kennedy Center Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 p.m. Check your controls prior to your first flight of the day.
