ALPINE AERO SQUADRON SEPTEMBER 2003 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes of the September 11, 2003 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the August meeting as read at the September meeting. Twelve club members were present at the September meeting. The club now has 84 members.

Bob Middleton reported that we have $1497.45 in the bank as of September 11, 2003. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business
The Field was Re-Oiled, also Re-Striped with bright yellow lines; it looks good. Mark Miller brought two more tables to the field.

New Business
The Float Fly will be held at Otay Lake on Sunday November 23, 2003. Sponsors to donate prizes for the Float Fly. The club will provide $150.00 in prizes at the Float Fly. This year the club will provide drinks, but there will be no food.

Ignacio Barragan (Nacho) would like to know your top 3 frequencies you use the most and what day of the week you fly. If you haven't given him your frequencies, email nachob@cox.net or call 619-337-8826.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Joe Marcias - Prop Balancer.
Dorman Baker - Magnum Electric Fuel Pump.

Regan Schutte - ”Volt Watch” Monitor.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m October 9, 2003, (Second Thursday) at the Kennedy Center Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 pm. Check your controls prior to your first flight of the day.
