Membership Limit.
A motion was made, seconded and approved to change the Bylaws as follows:
1. The Alpine Aero Squadron shall have a maximum membership limit of 100 total members, due to limited parking and difficulty in controlling access thru the lower gates. If necessary, the Board shall maintain a waiting list for new memberships until an available slot opens. Memberships may not be sold or bartered but shall be on a first come, first served basis only.
2. All new memberships must be approved by a Quorum of the board of directors. Four (4) board members must sign the application form. If 4 members of the board are not available, the applicant may fly as a guest, subject to all club and AMA rules, until the application is reviewed by the board. Gate keys shall only be issued after the application is approved and dues and initiation fees are paid in full.
If someone is dropped from the Club he or she will be put at the end of the list.
The Bylaws were read at the September meeting and were approved.
New Business: None
Note: If the covering on your Model Airplane is looking a little old, and you would like to cover your Model with new material, but as with many methods it takes a long time to remove the old covering. If you use a heat Gun to remove the old covering it will come off very quickly. Using just a little bit of sanding, the surface of your Model Airplane will be like covering a new Model, compliments of Thomas Porter.
Note: Need volunteers to help fix the left side of the end of the Flying Field. Contact Tom Clark if you would be interested in helping.
