ALPINE AERO SQUADRON SEPTEMBER 2007 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the September 13, 2007 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the August meeting as read at the September meeting. Eight Club members were present at the September meeting. The Club now has 86 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $2555.47 in the bank as September 13, 2007. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented. Someone stole the checkbook from Mark Miller’s Pickup truck. The person has been caught & now is in Jail. He manages to cash one check for $72.09. Mark Miller put a cancellation notice on all the Checks that were in the Checkbook. Union Bank of California may or may not return the Money to the Club. Don’t leave your Checkbook in your Car or your Pickup & remember to always lock your vehicle.

Old Business: The Float Fly at Otay Lake will be held on November 18, 2007 (Sunday). The Chula Vista Club will host the Float Fly this year.

New Business: The Club will re-oil the Field this summer. We have to remove all the Clay Sediments & replace them with Cold Patch. When everyone has finished flying on Saturday or Sunday please stay around and help remove the Clay Sediments & replace the holes will a cold patch. The Club has allotted $2300.00 for the Field to be Re-oiled.

Note: A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. Winner is Howard Valentine=One Gallon of 15% Nitro with 18% Oil, one Flatana Electric Model Airplane & a very nice small Screwdriver set.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. October 11, 2007, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to each flight.
