| ALPINE AERO SQUADRON OCTOBER 2003 NEWSLETTER
These are the
minutes of the October 9, 2003 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought
the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved
to accept the minutes of the September meeting as read at the October
meeting. Eight club members were present at the October meeting. The club
now has 89 members.
Bob Middleton reported that we have $1583.11
in the bank as of October 9, 2003. A motion was made, seconded, and approved
to accept the Treasurers report as presented.
Old Business:
The Float Fly will be held at Otay Lake on Sunday November 23, 2003. Flying
will start at 0800 and will last till sunset. Sponsors to donate prizes
for the Float Fly are, Hitec, Diamond Hobby & Hobby People. The club
also will provide $150.00 in prizes at the Float Fly. Tickets for the
prizes will be 6 tickets for $5.00 or $1.00 for one ticket. This year
the club will provide drinks, but there will be no food. Drinks will cost
50 cents at the Float Fly. A fee of $10.00 will be required for any pilot
who wishes to fly at the Float Fly. Volunteers are needed from the club
to help setup and run the Float Fly. Ignacio Barragan (Nacho) would like
to know your top 3 frequencies you use the most and what day of the week
you fly, his phone number is 619-337-8826.
New Business:
Dues are $40.00 a Year and the last day to pay without a penalty is December
31, 2003. Board members will be nominated at the November meeting.
A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle
tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

Thomas Beecroft - Silicone Fuel Line (Red).
The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron
will be at 7:30 p.m November 13, 2003, (Second Thursday) at the Kennedy
Center Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was
made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 pm.
