ALPINE AERO SQUADRON OCTOBER 2007 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the October 11, 2007 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the September meeting as read at the October meeting. Eight Club members were present at the October meeting. The Club now has 86 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $2591.50 in the bank as October 11, 2007. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented. Mark Miller’s Truck was broken into and the Alpine Aero Squadron’s Checkbook was stolen, but have no fear, when he made an accurate account of the outstanding checks, none were missing.

Old Business:
The Float Fly at Otay Lake will be held on November 18, 2007 (Sunday). The Chula Vista Club will host the Float Fly this year. Flying will began at 7:00 am & will cease at 6:00 pm. A $10.00 landing fee will be require for a Pilots who would like to Fly their Model Airplanes at Otay Lake on this day. The Club will re-oil the Field this year or sometime next year. We have to remove all the Clay Sediments & replace them with Cold Patch. When everyone has finished flying on Saturday or Sunday please stay around and help remove the Clay Sediments & replace the holes will a cold patch. The Club has allotted $2300.00 for the Field to be Re-oiled.

New Business:
Dues are due by December 31, 2007. The Dues are $40.00 for the whole year. Mark Miller is the Treasurer & he can be reach at the Thursday Night meeting or at the Field on Weekends. Mark Miller’s address is 1118 Hamlet Dr. El Cajon Ca. 92021. His phone # is 619-444-0968.

Note:
A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The raffle was not held at the October meeting.
