ALPINE AERO SQUADRON NOVEMBER 2005 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the November 10, 2005 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the October meeting as read at the November meeting. Eleven club members were present at the November meeting. The Club now has 98 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $2415.99 in the bank as November 10, 2005 2005. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

OLD BUSINESS:
Club dues are due by December 31st 2005; the dues are $40.00 for the whole year. Float Fly will be held on Sunday November 20, 2005 at Otay Lake. Flying starts at 8:00 AM & will end at 2:00 PM. Sodas, Coffee & donuts will be provided at the Flying event. Drinks will cost $1.00. Apline Aero Squadron will provide $300.00 in prizes. Hobby People & Diamond Hobby will also provide prizes.

New Business:
The Club will vote for the existing Board Members at the next Club Meeting on December 8, 2005. The nominees are Tom Clark for President, Mark Miller for Treasurer, Bob Davis for Vice President, Regan Schutte for Secretary, Thomas Beecroft for Editor & Wayne Bolin for Safety Coordinator.

Note: Joe Macias brought 5 Engines to the Club that was made between 1940 & 1949. The displacement is .09 for each cylinder. 1. Opposed 2 cylinders, 2-cycle ignition engine. 2. Inline 2 Cylinder, 2 Cycle Ignitions Engine. 3. Opposed 4-cylinder ignition 2-cycle ignition Engine. 4. Single cylinder 2-cycle ignition Engine. 5. Opposed 6-cylinder 2 cycles glow Engine. The entire collection of the ignition Engines were made Dan Calkin. The glow Engine was made by Arne Hende of Sweden.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.
Doug Williams - One Gallon of Synthetic/Castor 15% Fuel.
Dorman Baker - One Gallon Synthetic/Castor of 15%. Fuel.
Howard Valentine - HS-55 Light Weight Servo.
Joe Macias - HS-55 Light Weight Servo.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. December 8, 2005, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.
A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:16 p.m.
