ALPINE AERO SQUADRON NOVEMBER 2006 NEWSLETTER These are the minutes for the November 9, 2006 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the October meeting as read at the November meeting. Eleven Club members were present at the October meeting. The Club now has 79 members.
Mark Miller reported that we have $1335.70 in the bank as November 9, 2006. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurers report as presented. Old Business: New Business:
Make your Check payable to Alpine Aero Squadron & mail to Mark Miller Our new Weed Wacker & two Airplanes were stolen from the Metal Container at the Field. The Club would like to schedule two Fun Flys for the coming year 2007, one on Saturday & one on Sunday. The Club will vote for the existing Board Members at the next Club Meeting on December 14, 2006. The old Board Members are Tom Clark for President, Mark Miller for Treasurer, Bob Davis for Vice President, Regan Schutte for Secretary, Thomas Beecroft for Editor, Wayne Bolin for Safety Coordinator & Ignacio Barragan for Web Master. Honorary Life Member John Mellos passed away on July 16 2006, he was almost 66 Years old, born on 9/7/1940. We had 15 Pilots sign up for the Float Fly at Otay Lake on the 19 of November 2006. The weather was very nice with the sun shining all day. Note: Joe Macias brought in Six Infants K&B Glow Engines, one .049 Engine, two .02 Engines & three .035 Engines. Four Motor Boat Glow Engines, one .049 outboard single Cylinder Engine, two .12 inboard Engines with twin Cylinders & one outboard .15 outboard Engine with twin Cylinders. Note: Wayne Bolin brought in two O.S. Glow Plugs one type F for a four Cycle Engine & one # 8 Glow Plug for the Raffle. Note: A raffle is held at each meeting and
the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00.
The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. December 14, 2006, (2nd Thursday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the 8.05 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to your first flight of the day. |
