ALPINE AERO SQUADRON DECEMBER 2003 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for December 11, 2003 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the November meeting as read at the December meeting. Thirteen club members were present at the December meeting. The club now has 87 members. The club made $323.00 from the Float Fly.

Bob Middleton reported that we have 1916.62 in the bank as of December 11, 2003. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business
Club dues are due by December 31st, 2003. The dues for the year 2004 are $40.00 for the whole year.

The Float Fly was a great success this Year. The day started out with a comfortable warm sun that took the chill off our bones. The temperature rose to a nice 75 degrees until 11.00 o'clock and the rest of the day was very nice with very little wind. 19 Pilots signed up to fly at the Float Fly. If anyone has any ideas to make the Float Fly easier for the club members, please come to the January meeting & express your thoughts.

The country may decide to laser lever the field in about two years.

Joe Macias brought in three old 60-size ignition racecar engines for everyone to look at. The cars would speed around a circle on a theater line & would be clock at speeds over a hundred miles an hour,

A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00. The following members won items at the raffle.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m January 8, 2003, (second Thursday) at the Kennedy Center Main Building, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:41 pm.
