ALPINE AERO SQUADRON DECEMBER 2006 NEWSLETTER

These are the minutes for the December 14, 2006 meeting. Our President Tom Clark brought the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the minutes of the November meeting as read at the December meeting. Eleven Club members were present at the December meeting. The Club now has 80 members.

Mark Miller reported that we have $1760.85 in the bank as December 14, 2006. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented.

Old Business:
Dues are payable by January 1st, 2007. Make your Check payable to Alpine Aero Squadron & mail to Mark Miller 1118 Hamlet Dr. EL Cajon, California 92021. Dues are $40.00 for the year. The Alpine Aero Squadron made $131.26 at the Float Fly.

The same old Board Members have been voted in again, Tom Clark for President, Mark Miller for Treasurer, Bob Davis for Vice President, Regan Schutte for Secretary, Thomas Beecroft for Editor, Wayne Bolin for Safety Coordinator & Ignacio Barragan for Web Master, for the year 2007.

New Business:
The President of the Chula Vista club doesn’t want the Float Fly at Otay Lake to die out. If anyone has a San Diego address, the registration fee for the picnic area wouldn’t be as high. The Club will have someone investigate this matter concerning the Float Fly at Otay Lake for the year 2007. We may be able to get the site free & we may also be able to pick the Month for the Float Fly.

Note: A raffle is held at each meeting and the raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00.

Tom Clark - One HS-65HB Mighty Feather Weight Servo.
Bob Davis - One # 8 O.S Glow Plug .
Tom Beecroft - One # 8 O.S Glow Plug.

Note: The next meeting will be held on the second Tuesday for the month of January 09, 2007. Starting in February the meetings will be held on the second Thursday of the month. The only change will be the month of January for the year 2007.

The next meeting of the Alpine Aero Squadron will be at 7:30 p.m. January 09, 2007, (2nd Tuesday) at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1675 Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the 8.05 p.m. Check your Flight Controls prior to your first flight of the day.
